Born and raised in Canada, I realized early a love for reading and learning. I studied Interdisciplinary Fine Arts, graduating with a BFA. My studies revealed a passion for architecture, and I earned a Magisteriate in art history with a thesis on landscape architecture, Beyond Eden: Cultivating Spectacle in the Montreal Botanical Garden. A contract at the Canadian Centre for Architecture library ignited an interest in library work, which later led to me attending San Jose State University to obtain a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science, with specializations in art librarianship and archival science.
I am concerned with the preservation of historically significant documents and the dissemination of information,[1] in both analog and digital form. to that end, i have completed a post-master’s certificate in digital curation, with further work in the book industry, including the badge of honor for all aspiring writers: bookseller.
Last summer, I took a course in social media writing with the aim to roll up my sleeves, get some ink on my fingers, and establish disciplined writing practices. A year later I am launching BAALM, a blog relating to my ideas on Beauty: Art, Architecture, Literature, and Music.
